Description

Session 8 (GHS Sept.1 - 10 Week Hybrid)

Student birthday must be prior to April 5, 2012 to take this class

This Driver’s Education course is offered in a hybrid format, running from August 31 through November 6. A hybrid class means that instruction is split between in-person sessions and online learning.

Mandatory Parent/Student Meeting: August 26 at 5:30 PM @ GHS in the Performance Hall

During the course, students will attend some scheduled classes in person, where they will participate in hands-on activities, discussions, and direct instruction. On other days, students will complete lessons online, which may include videos, assignments, quizzes, and independent study.

In-person class dates and times will be announced (TBA). Please refer to the class calendar on the Driver’s Education page on the SD#5 website for the most up-to-date schedule.

Behind-the-wheel driving sessions will be scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:30–5:30 PM, with additional Saturday drives to be announced (TBA).

This format provides flexibility while still ensuring students receive the full required instruction. Students are expected to stay on schedule, attend all in-person sessions and driving times, and complete online work by the assigned deadlines.

The hybrid structure allows students to benefit from both face-to-face interaction and the convenience of online learning, helping them build the knowledge and skills needed to become safe, responsible drivers.

  • A $20 processing fee will be assessed for class changes or transfers.
